The following two photos were made in the vicinity of Great Sand Dunes NM, Colorado. I had planned a photo session in the dunes, but a severe rainstorm was raging in the area when I arrived. Since the rain didn't stop, I decided to move on after a while. When I passed through the small town of Mosca a few miles down the road, I noticed the old house and junkyard. The atmosphere was quite dramatic because of the storm clouds in the background, so I couldn't resist taking a few shots:
